News: NeoGAF Post Reveals Juicy Assassin's Creed Info

It's only a few days now before the June issue of Game Informer hits the store shelves in the U.S., but a savvy poster from NeoGAF SolidSnakex posted some juicy info on Game Informer's coverage of the upcoming Assassin's Creed Revelations.

In Assassin's Creed Revelations, as earlier revealed, Ezio will be journeying to the marvelous city of Constantinople. Bulk of the gameplay will be set in Constantinople and the city is divided into four major districts Constantin, Beyazid, Imperial and Galata. Aside from Constantinople, Ezio will also be venturing Cappadocia, a region in Central Turkey. In the new game, Ezio will be searching for seals that hold the memories of Altair. This will allow Ezio to explore and relive the memories of Altair, much like how Desmond uses the Animus to view the memories of his ancestors. Altair will be playable in these sequences.

As for the equipment, Ezio will now be able to use a new item called a hookblade, which allows him to use ziplines across the city. According to the post, UBI says that this new method of exploration will speed up navigation by 30%. Ezio will also be able to use the hookblade for some cool kill combos.

A new crafting system will be introduced in the game, which will enable Ezio to procure bombs, with up to 300 bomb types. Also, the control scheme will be changed to adjust for the hookblade and bomb features.

Eagle vision will become Eagle sense, which will enable players to focus on one character and determine that particular character's path. This will open up opportunities such as planting bombs, traps and ambushes. They've also changed the Borgia tower gameplay mechanic introduced in Brotherhood, which will be more varied this time around. Scattered throughout the city are Assassin's Dens, which can be upgraded once assault scenarios (eliminating Templar presence in an area) has been completed. Upgrades include adding ziplines in the area surrounding the den, and ability to change the attitude of the guards from hostile to neutral. Be careful though as you can still lose areas acquired, but players will also be able to install an Assassin to a particular den to guard the area. Also, traditional side missions have been removed in favor of random events such as helping a shop owner being robbed, or helping a girl in need.

Revelations will introduce a new facial capture and animation technology called Mocam which G.I. describes as "intriguing amalgamation of traditional animation, performance capture and the fascinating new style of performance on display in games like LA Noire."

As for Desmond, he wound up in a "Black Room" inside the Animus, which serves as a safe mode. Players will able to access the Desmond's lost memories inside the Black Room. Desmond's gameplay sequences will feature puzzles, which will reintegrate his splintered subconscious.

As earlier revealed, multiplayer will make a return, but this time with enhanced features, such as being able to customize character weapons and appearance, as well as the ability to create guilds. The multiplayer will now focus more on the narrative of the multiplayer since it's also a big part of the AC universe.

The post also drops a summary of G.I's coverage of another upcoming Ubisoft game, Rayman Origins, and also a list of previews and reviews the G.I. will have in the upcoming issue.

I'm definitely excited for the upcoming AC Revelations game. Are you excited too? Hit the comments and tell us what you think.
