Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced their plans for an exclusive Multiplayer Beta on the PlayStation 3. The beta will run from Sept. 3 to Sept. 11, and will be open to PlayStation Plus subscribers, and to select Uplay members.
Nine characters will be available for play on the beta, including: The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion. Like AC Brotherhood MP, characters share the same behavior, and differ only by their character animations, and visual customizations. As for where all the hunting will take place, three maps will be playable:
- Knight’s Hospital
- Antioch
- Constantinople
Eight abilities will be available, but some of the abilities will need to be unlocked by ranking up in the beta. These will include Tripwire Bomb (NEW), Closure (NEW), Disguise, Fire Crackers, Throwing Knives, Smoke Bomb, Poison and Morph.
I wonder how all these things will play out in the beta. I'm no longer subscribed to PS Plus, but hopefully I'll get chosen since I'm a Uplay member. I'm excited about this game since it's MP is unlike anything I've played and experienced. It's a sort of a breath of fresh air from all the frenetic multiplayer FPS out right now. If you're a PS Plus subscriber, and haven't touched ACB MP, you may want to give this a go when it launches.
