Soul Calibur VI Review (PS4) - A tale eternally retold indeed
After missing some sword-clashing action for almost 6 years, Soul Calibur makes a graceful return to form with its latest entry Soul Calibur VI, which is also its first outing in the current gen platforms. This latest installment acts as a reboot to the entire series, expanding on the story told in the original game, while retaining features that pushed the series further in previous main-line games. But will this retelling of the eternal tale of souls and swords stand out amongst the relatively fresher fighting games out there? Here’s our full review of Soul Calibur VI.

Video: Ace Combat Assault Horizon Cinematic Trailer
Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming Ace Combat Assault Horizon. Featuring chopper gunnery, close air combat and huge explosions set in the real world, I'm definitely excited about this game. I've been an Ace Combat fan since Ace Combat 2, and I'm excited to see the improvements they've placed in this game. Textures look crisp, and dogfights look really nice and explosive. It's coming out on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 October 11, 2011, so for now, hit the trailer after the break and see for yourself some awesome steel carnage:

Check out the latest trailer for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, and meet your nemesis, Markov. Flying what seems to be an SU-35 fighter, he's one tough sumbi*ch to take down. Video: Really Fuzzy Trailer of Soul Calibur V [UPDATED with Official Trailer]
Yeah, Soul Calibur V has already been announced in Namco Bandai's "Step Up Dubai 2011", and a really fuzzy video of the trailer has already been leaked on YouTube. Really fuzzy, meaning the trailer was shown on screen and taken on a cell phone.
According to Joystiq, Soul Calibur V takes players 17 years after the events of Soul Calibur IV. No further details have been released yet, including character roster and exact release dates, but expect Siegfried and Nightmare to appear in the game. A new character will enter into the fray - Patroklos, son of Sophitia and Rothion, who will also serve as the new main character for the game. Soul Calibur V will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 this coming 2012.
I'm still waiting for the official trailer, and I think we will see it at Namco Bandai's countdown teaser site that I covered in an earlier post. Only a few hours left until the countdown is up. Check out this site for further updates.
UPDATE: The official trailer has already been uploaded on YouTube, unfortunately embedding was disabled, so if you want to see it, click here. The new designs for Soul Calibur and Soul Edge look amazing and scary.

Video: Dark Souls Latest Trailer
Namco Bandai is on a roll lately, with all the new trailers being released and projects being announced, all the while having a convention in Dubai. Love these guys. Anyway, a new trailer for Dark Souls has been released, showcasing the punishing difficulty of the game, and various nefarious ways on how a player can die in the game. Dark Souls, is not for the impatient, and for the faint of heart.
Considered as the spiritual successor to From Software's PS3 exclusive, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls is a brand new action RPG from the same development team, featuring a truly unique and challenging experience in a dark fantasy world. If you've played Demon's Souls, then expect the same insanely difficult but extremely rewarding experience.
Dark Souls will be released on October 2011, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
