One of our most awaited games this 2017 is coming sooner than expected with EA and Bioware announcing earlier the release date for Mass Effect Andromeda at CES 2017. So buckle up, and take a cryo-nap as we journey to Andromeda this coming March 21, 2017 in North America and March 23 in all other territories, including Europe. The game will be released on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
In a recent news post at masseffect.com, Bioware's General Manager Aarlyn Flynn detailed how they got up to this point. "Mass Effect: Andromeda is our most ambitious Mass Effect game to date. We’re telling completely new stories, creating new characters, new planets, new species, and introducing new gameplay systems" Flynn said.
He stated that over the holiday break, Bioware devs were hard at work, or rather, play, when they took home the "holiday build" of the game. "This is a longstanding studio tradition that goes back to the early days of the original Mass Effect. Many load up a PC or console and go home to play as much as possible at their leisure" Flynn stated. He said that the endorsement of colleagues who played key roles in the previous trilogy was a key factor in locking in the release date.
"We’re excited about how far we are going with the franchise, and we hope you find it’s been worth the wait" Flynn said as he closed his news post.
I'm definitely super excited about this one! Didn't expect this to be released that soon thinking this will fall under a 2017 Q4 release window. So until then guys, might we all take a cryo-sleep. Wake me up mid-March please? Or we can all drool and watch the latest trailer right here:
