Video: God of War Origins Collection Comparison Video

Ready at Dawn Studios, the devs behind God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta on the PSP, has took on a daunting challenge of bringing these games to the PS3. So what have they achieved so far? Check out the video after the break and see for yourself what they have in store for us in the upcoming God of War: Origins Collection.

In a post on the Official US Playstation Blog, Nathan Phail-Liff, Ready at Dawn's Art Director details the challenges behind remastering the PSP God of War games on the PS3. Not only did they upgrade the resolution from 480 x 272 resolution to 1920 x 1080p, they also upgraded the frame rate from 30 to 60 FPS. Pre-rendered cutscenes originally created for the PSP, were also recreated to run at full 1080p on the PS3. To top it all off, Origins Collection will take advantage of the PS3's stereoscopic 3D support.

God of War: Origins Collection is set for release for the PS3 on Sept. 13, 2011. This might be my chance to finally complete the series since I don't have a PSP. Besides, I'd rather play it on a flat panel, with a DualShock 3 on hand, with trophies popping up every now and then. Kudos to you Ready at Dawn!
