Yeah, we all know our PS3's and Xbox 360's can run Crysis 2, but lets go back to the question that started it all. "Can it run Crysis?" Well, we will all soon find out. Come October 2011, Crysis will be hitting consoles as a digital release over the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE, treating gamers to an exciting blast from the recent past with jaw dropping visuals and innovative gameplay.
Prepare your itchy trigger fingers, as EA and Crytek brings back one of the most exciting games of 2007 - Crysis. This coming October 2011, console gamers can download an enhanced and modified version of the original Crysis game, remastered on the CryENGINE 3 with all new lighting, effects and other visual optimizations, as well as stereoscopic 3D support.
For a time, Crysis stood as the benchmark for game graphics design, and EA and Crytek are proud to be delivering this experience once again on consoles. “We are extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish with Crysis. We set out to create a next-generation FPS and delivered a PC experience that became a benchmark for quality – and still is for many gamers even four years later,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek. “By bringing the single-player campaign to console, we believe we are again setting a new standard for quality in downloadable gaming.”
With Crysis well on its way on the consoles, fans of the game on the consoles can finally complete their Crysis experience. In Crysis, gamers are taken to the year 2019 in an island near the South China sea, where a team of Delta Force Operators is sent to search for a group of missing archaeologists. Armed with an advanced armor technology called the Nanosuit, you'll play as Nomad, and you'll fight your way through the crossfire that ensues between the US, North Korea, and an alien menace they didn't expect.
Crysis will be soon available for download this coming October 2011 for $19.99 on PSN and 1600 Mircosoft Points on Xbox LIVE.
