It has been over three years since the release of Heavenly Sword, Ninja Theory's exclusive PS3 title back in 2007. Often compared to Sony's own God of War series, Heavenly Sword took the gaming world by storm during the early years of the PS3. Now, rumors are surfacing that a sequel is currently in development, and according a UK gaming magazine PlayGamer, they have some info on what can be expected of the sequel.
According to PlayGamer, the sequel to Heavenly Sword will now be an open world sandbox game set 10 years after the original game. Players will have to earn their way to wield and master the titular weapon, by learning and mastering different martial arts. However, no information yet was provided as to the release date, or who is the developer and publisher behind the game.

I hate it when people compare every god d*** game on the genre to God Of War.
Couldn't blame them. God of War pretty much set the benchmark for that genre. But I gotta give credit to Ninja Theory for still keeping it unique. Loved the after touch effects. Games need more of those :D
