News: Welcome Back Program for Asia Detailed!

In lieu of the restoration of PSN services in Asia, Sony will be offering a "Welcome Back" program for Asia PSN customers, similar to the package launched in the U.S and Europe. Check out the details of the program after the break.

The "Welcome Back" Package will be available for PSN users in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia who were registered before April 21, 2011. The package will enable the said users to download two PS3 games, and two PSP games from a select list of titles. Choices are as follows:

PS3 Titles:

• The Last Guy (Chinese/English Version)
• Come on, LocoRoco!! BuuBuu Cocoreccho (Chinese/English Version)
• Trashbox (Chinese/English Version)
• Hustle King (English Version)
• WipEout ®HD Bundle (English Version)

PSP Titles:

• Everybody's Stress Buster (Chinese/English Version)
• LittleBigPlanet™ (Chinese/English Version)
• LocoRoco™ -Midnight Carnival- (Chinese/English Version)
• Modnation™ Racer PSP® (Chinese/English Version)

Users will also be able to download a free Dokodemo Issyo Spring custom theme for the PlayStation 3.

PSN users in Asia will also be offered free 30 days subscription in the PlayStation Plus service, while existing Plus subscribers will receive additional 30 days free subscription, and additional 1 day free subscription for each day of the outage of free service.

A special offer will also be available for all PlayStation Home users, however, details are still yet to be announced.

It's nice to see a different lineup of games for Asia, but I think this package is a bit lacking since Asia's PSN service took way longer to be restored. I do hope the said games are well worth the longer outage.
