Video: Time Travelling With Halo: Anniversary

Halo: Combat Evolved was one of those games way back 2001 that was also way ahead of its time. It was a game that defined many of the mechanics of current generation FPS, and even gained a huge following from a strong fanbase. Wouldn't it be nice to relive all that and start from where it all began? The nice folks at 343 Industries have been busy developing Halo: Anniversary, a fully revamped version of Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox 360, and is set to deliver the original Halo experience in full HD, and in fully revamped maps, graphics and textures. For guys wanting a nostalgia attack, or for those who haven't played the original (like me), this might be one game to pick up. Check out the gameplay demo after the jump!

The one thing I'm excited about is on-the-fly switching between the orginal Halo: CE graphics to the revamped graphics. It's definitely a nice touch to add that kind of feature, since it essentially lets you travel back in time (only visually of course), to experience the original game.

I'm glad that they're not just re-releasing the game in HD, but completely remastering the game unlike current HD remakes out there. So if you've missed the original Halo experience, you might want to check this out.
