Rumor: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 To Be Announced at San Diego Comic Con 2011

Comics blog The Quarter Bin reports that they may have an idea what "fantastic news" Marvel Vs. Capcom 3's producer Ryota Nitsuma will be announcing at this year's San Diego Comic Con. Does budget re-release ring a bell anyone?

With Street Fighter IV having been treated to two budget re-releases of the game namely, it may be just a matter of time until MVC3 will receive the same treatment, and The Quarter Bin and its sources believe that this will be Nitsuma's big announcement at Comic Con. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 may be released later this year, increasing the character to roster from 38 to 50.

Their sources have been silent as to which characters will make the list, but expect earlier DLC released characters Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine to be in the game. It would be nice to see Mega Man back in action, or other characters from the original Marvel and Capcom cross over series such as Cyclops.

We'll have to wait next week, July 23 to finally know what the big announcement is all about. Should this be true, then it'll be great to see a whole bunch of new characters enter the fray.
