Video: Modern Warfare 3 Teaser Trailers, Plus Some Leaked Info [UPDATED]

After tons of info about the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 game was leaked over the net, Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist Robert Bowling confirms the existence of the upcoming shooter, and tweeted a teaser trailer for the said game. He also mentions that some of the leaked info was inaccurate. But nonetheless, these teaser trailers can make any Call of Duty junkie excited. Check out the clips after the jump!

Earlier, Kotaku revealed tons of info about the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 game, including the whole plotline. I'm not gonna post that here and much of the info hasn't been confirmed yet, but just to sum up what they know so far (without revealing any major plot spoilers), here's a quick rundown:
  • The single player story takes off where MW2 left off, and will feature about 15 missions.
  • You'll be battling your way across the globe, from Manhattan, India, Prague and Dubai just to name a few.
  • Like the usual Call of Duty fare, you'll be playing the role of multiple characters, including key characters from previous MW games, and throwaway roles such as a tank gunner, and AC 130 gunner.
  • New characters will be introduced, including Delta Force operatives codenamed "Frost" and "Sandman".
  • Seal Team Six will be mentioned in the game. (Not surprising, but I'm gonna wait how the rest of America will feel about their heroes being in the game.)
  • As for multiplayer, the game will be packed with as many as 20 maps, including a map set in Paris, Brooklyn and Mogadishu, Somalia.
  • Spec Ops will return, now with two different modes: Survival and Mission. Mission mode will play like the original spec ops mode of MW2, while Survival mode will pit players against wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies. (Much like Zombie fare anyone?)
  • Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software are developing the game.
  • If you want to see the leaked plotline from Kotaku, here's the link. Major spoilers ahead. You've been warned.
I've also read that MW3 will utilize the same engine used by MW2. This is a bold move considering Battlefield 3 will be utilizing the new Frostbite 2 engine, but there's no confirmation regarding this yet. But anyways, a good competition between two highly anticipated shooters is really welcome. Hope they release more vids and info soon.

Modern Warfare 3 will hit store shelves Nov. 8, 2011. I'm stoked about this, how about you?

UPDATED: Infinity Ward has released two new teaser trailers, and put up a Facebook page for MW3. Here are the two new teasers:
