News: Need For Speed The Run Announced, Due for November Release

The next Need for Speed Game has already been announced! Entitled Need for Speed The Run, players will be taken to an illegal, high stakes race across various U.S. states, from San Francisco to New York. You will traverse icy mountain paths, dense urban centers, as police forces relentlessly chase you down. Are you up to the task?

The game was reportedly being developed by EA Black Box, the devs behind NFS Pro Street, Carbon and Undercover. However, one surprising fact about the game is that it will utilize DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine, the same engine powering the upcoming Battlefield 3 game. With the Frostbite 2.0 engine, improved graphics and car models, stunning visuals, and destructible environments are sure to be expected from the game.
