Set in 1940's Los Angeles, with crime and corruption at an all time high, you'll play as Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective determined in uncovering the mystery behind LA's series of crimes to set things right. Starting out as a traffic police officer, you'll rise above the ranks and tackle on LA's crime syndicates, underworld organizations, and other crime elements.
The game is unique mix of action - shooter and open world exploration, a la GTA, and crime mystery solving. From the trailers and gameplay videos I've seen so far, facial animations are so realistic, that you'll be able to tell whether characters are telling truths or lies, or are hiding information crucial to your quest of solving the game's mysteries. This adds a lot to the realism of the detective work that will be involved such as interrogating suspects and witnesses as you search for clues.
Time to take up some psych and behavioral classes to tell whether this guy is lying or not. |
From the looks of the gameplay elements, I must say I am truly impressed, and with the reputation of Rockstar Games of delivering triple A games such as the GTA series and Red Dead Redemption, this game is already on my "must-buy" list.
