It's been almost a week already since I last played with my PS3, that a new system update has already slipped past me. Anyways, for those looking to update their PS3's via USB method, check out the download links after the break, as well as some details regarding the update.
Nothing much to say about the update as the only change made through the update is:
- Playback quality during use of some PlayStation®3 format software has been improved.
For those who update their systems via USB flash drive method, you can download the update file from the following links. Just click the link of the region of your system.
On your USB flash drive, create a folder named “PS3” on the storage media or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”. Save the update file in the "UPDATE" folder as “PS3UPDAT.PUP”. Plug the device to the PS3, and go to the settings menu on the home menu / XMB. Select system update, and select the "Update via Storage Media".
