News: PS3 System Update 3.66 Now Up!

If you're like me who's been away from my PS3 for almost two days, well it's about time we get our PS3's updated! The mandatory system update 3.66 is already up for download on your PS3, so check out the details and the download links (for PC-USB method) after the break!

Don't expect any major overhauls with the update, but per the official description, the update improves system stability during use of PlayStation 3 format software, as well as its network functionality.

For those who update their systems via USB flash drive method, you can download the update file from the following links. Just click the link of the region of your system.

On your USB flash drive, create a folder named “PS3” on the storage media or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”. Save the update file in the "UPDATE" folder as “PS3UPDAT.PUP”. Plug the device to the PS3, and go to the settings menu on the home menu / XMB. Select system update, and select the "Update via Storage Media".
