Video: GTA IV San Andreas Mod for PC

I like gaming on the PC not only because it's a lot more powerful and flexible compared to consoles, but also because of the modding (modifying) community that takes game content further, and makes them a lot more fun. In fact, some of the most memorable games were actually mods, like Counter Strike and DotA. Anyway, the upcoming video after the break shows how just a group of guys are taking content from GTA San Andreas, smack it with the RAGE engine to make a mod for the PC version of GTA IV, and make Niko Bellic drive and run around the San Andreas state.

Dubbed San Adreas HD, these guys are set to take the physics and the graphics utilized in GTA IV, and bring it to the wonderful state of San Andreas. If Rockstar Games takes notice of this, I might just get a better PC, a copy of GTA IV to download this nice content. No word as of yet when the content will be released by the modders, but if you're interested in keeping up with their progress, check out this GTA forum site.

Oh and just a side note, if you're still trying to complete GTA IV, check out this Google Map version of GTA IV's map. It even has a street view! It's made from over 80,000 screenshots of the game. Kind of a painstaking job, but very helpful and impressive feat nonetheless.
